Role Description The Assistant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale Area, supporting overall store operations and delivering an outstanding customer experience. This role helps lead the sales floor, oversees daily opening and closing procedures, and partners with store leadership to drive sales, manage labor, and maintain visual and operational standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include coaching and scheduling team members, monitoring performance, and ensuring that service, merchandising, and inventory processes are followed consistently. The Assistant Manager also participates in hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training, while promoting a culture that reflects Old Navy's values of inclusivity, fun, and customer focus. This role actively engages with customers, resolves issues quickly, and ensures the store environment is safe, clean, and welcoming. Qualifications Retail leadership and operations skills, including experience supervising teams, managing daily store activities, and supporting sales and service goals. Customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse customers, resolve concerns, and collaborate effectively with team members and leaders. Sales, merchandising, and inventory skills, such as interpreting sales trends, maintaining visual standards, and supporting stock management and replenishment. Coaching, training, and performance management skills, with the ability to give clear feedback, support development, and foster an inclusive, high-performing team culture. Problem-solving and organizational skills, including attention to detail, time management, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Comfort working in an on-site retail setting that requires standing, walking, and light physical tasks throughout the shift. Previous retail or customer-facing leadership experience is strongly preferred; experience in fashion or apparel is a plus. High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in business, retail management, or a related field is beneficial. #J-18808-Ljbffr
