Senior Mechanical Engineer

Senior Mechanical EngineerAlliance Group is seeking an experienced, self-direct full-time Mechanical Engineer based in Essex Junction, VT to join our growing team. In this role, you will design and develop high quality heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, while creating technical drawings and plans using CAD software. Individuals must demonstrate excellent communication skills, as well as an aptitude for problem solving, time management, and customer service.Key ResponsibilitiesDesigning and analyzing HVAC systems to ensure they meet both client needs and industry standards.Collaborate with other senior engineers to evaluate system performance, energy efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.Prepare detailed HVAC system layouts, schematics, and other technical drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar CAD software.Review and revise HVAC plans and drawings to ensure accuracy, clarity, and adherence to building codes and regulations.Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of HVAC systems into overall building designs.Participate in design meetings, site visits, field coordination, and other support services as neededReviewing contractor submittals and coordinating with vendors and suppliers for materials and equipment.Essential Qualifications and CompetenciesBachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Building Systems Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) requiredProfessional Engineer registration preferred5+ years of experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities requiredProficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools)Knowledge of codes/standards related to the design of HVAC systemsStrong attention to detailStrong problem-solving skillsStrong interpersonal communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively in a team environmentAbility to work efficientlyHigh level of reliability, follow-through, discretion, and integrityMust possess proactive, positive problem-solving skillsMust be an energetic and enthusiastic collaborative team playExcellent communication skills (written and oral)Must maintain a company vehicleU.S. citizenship or a current, valid U.S. work permit is mandatoryApplicants must have a valid, unrestricted driver's license.A background verification and motor vehicle check will be required.BenefitsCompetitive payComprehensive health insurance (including dental and vision)Health Saving Account with company contributionPaid Life InsuranceOther voluntary insurance options401(k) plan with company matchingGenerous paid time offPaid HolidaysAnnual Bonus OpportunityEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Professional development assistanceEmployee discountCompany ApparelAbout Alliance GroupAlliance Group Services, LLC is a premier provider of building automation and mechanical contracting services in New England.
