Watts is a leading brand with a quality reputation — and we have a dynamic future ahead.**Scope of Position**This individual, as part of the Quality and Operations Team, will be responsible for completing incoming inspection and in-process inspection of parts/components for the Quality Assurance Department ensuring that products and materials meet company standards. Also providing technical assistance to support daily operations, projects, measurement methods and performance testing, and execution of the Quality Business System. This position does not have direct reports. This position reports to Manager, Quality. This role is onsite and is based Export, PA. Shift is either 6:30 am- 3pm or 8:30am-5pm.**Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities*** Coordinate and perform incoming inspections and in-process monitoring activities for parts/components.* Update and maintain all required incoming documentation and inspection logs.* Measuring: Comparing objects to their intended physical specifications.* Make decisions using detailed acceptance criteria and product specifications regarding quality of the parts/components.* Complete gage calibrations and provide detailed calibration documents/reports.* Assist with continuous improvement functions.* Develop and improve inspection methods.* Develop and improve gage calibration system.* Develop and upgrade departmental procedures (Quality Business System).* Participate in the Quick Kaizen program to meet Continuous Improvement goals.* Provide support for projects that will support manufacturing, engineering and quality efforts.* Perform inspections and testing for special projects.* Perform additional inspections, testing, and detailed data collection for PPAP’s.* Provide detailed documentation of all worked performed.* Lead and participate in required testing to support manufacturing and new product development.* Provide training and coaching on inspection and calibration methods.* Coordinate and perform evaluations on returned products (Returned Material Authorization).* Update and make entries into the RMA database.* Coordinate RMA activities with Receiving, Customer Service, and Accounting.* Participate and provide input to the Material Review Board. Communication: Collaborating with Production, Materials, CustomerService teams to communicate issues and requirements andinspection results. Assume responsibility for other projects andduties as assigned by Company management. **Required Qualifications*** High School Diploma* 1+ years of experience performing quality inspections/Manufacturing* Understanding inspection techniques and ability to use inspection equipment (micrometers, calipers, CMM, microscope, height gages, etc.)* Ability to read and interpret part/assembly drawings* Computer proficiency on Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Explorer)* Excellent interpersonal skills and written communication skills are required* Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.* Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.**Preferred Qualifications*** A.S. You may, at times, be required to be present on the manufacturing floor and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work in the office at the Export, PA location (Monday – Friday). Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.**Physical Requirements:** Specific physical abilities required for this position include, but are not limited to:* Ability to remain seated at a desk or workstation for extended periods.* Ability to perform repetitive tasks like typing on a keyboard or using a mouse for extended periods.* Ability to physically move around the office, organize or transport files, packages, or other office-related materials.* Ability to read documents, use a computer, and perform data entry tasks.* Ability to communicate clearly with management and coworkers, particularly in meetings or phone calls.* Ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, printers, phones, and copiers.* Ability to occasionally lift and carry light objects, such as office supplies, documents, or small equipment.* Ability to stand for long periods of time.* Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.* Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds.* Ability to physically move around manufacturing floor.* Ability to read documents and communicate clearly with management and coworkers.* Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses.Nothing in this job description restricts Watts’ right to assign or reassign duties, responsibilities, and working hours/conditions to this position at any time.
