Sr. Civil/Structural Engineer

Position Type: Full-time Location: Houston, TX Physical Demands: Sedentary Travel Requirements: Occasionally site visits required. Essential Functions Performs basic engineering calculations, analyses, and other tasks using prescribed methods and procedures. Applies engineering principles with direction from his/her supervisor. Interfaces with other technical disciplines, vendors, and contractors. Interfaces with Drafting to provide any required information and review Drafting’s work. Prepares specifications detailing performance requirements, design data, applicable codes/standards, and vendor drawing requirements with direction from his/her supervisor. Assists in assembling all project information into the project files. Participates in site visits with more experienced engineers and/or designers. Requirements B.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution. 5-10 years of experience. P.E. License. Eager to learn and grow professionally. Strong Written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated, creative, organized, and solution-oriented advocate. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer. Experience Preferred Previous experience in the oil & gas industry with reference to midstream facility work. Background in foundation design for equipment, structural supports, and related components. Background in structural steel design for supports, modular pipe racks, and comparable systems.
