Terrestris Global Solutions is seeking reliable and safety-focused CDL Drivers to support government contracting operations on a temporary, as-needed basis. This role supports mission-critical logistics activities involving the transport and repositioning of a variety of government and contractor-owned vehicles and equipment, including heavy equipment carriers, refrigeration vehicles, passenger vehicles, fuel tankers, and school buses.At Terrestris, we leverage technology to create better mission outcomes through better human performance. Rooted in the USMC values of honor, courage, and commitment, Terrestris seeks to deliver extraordinary value to the American people by helping the Government become more efficient and effective.The CDL Driver will safely operate and transport a variety of vehicles and equipment, including heavy machinery, refrigerated trucks, passenger vehicles, and fuel tankers—in support of government contracting operations. While generally our vehicles will not have cargo, when there is cargo, the CDL Driver will be responsible for securing the cargo in compliance with all DOT regulations and safety standards, conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, maintaining accurate logs and documentation, and coordinating with dispatch to meet mission requirements. The CDL Driver will also adapt to changing operational needs, ensure proper handling of specialized or hazardous materials when applicable, and uphold Terrestris Global Solutions' commitment to safety, reliability, and mission excellence.You will:Safely operate CDL-class vehicles, including heavy equipment transporters, refrigerated trucks, passenger vehicles, buses, and fuel tankersSecure various types of cargo in compliance with DOT and company regulationsConduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and operational readinessMaintain accurate logs, inspection reports, and delivery documentationAdhere to all federal, state, and local transportation laws and safety standardsCoordinate with dispatch and operations teams to meet delivery schedules and mission requirementsRespond to changing operational needs with flexibility and professionalismEnsure proper handling and transport of hazardous materials (if applicable and certified)You might be the professional we're looking for if you have:Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) (Class A or B, as required)Clean driving record with a strong commitment to safetyExperience transporting heavy equipment, vehicles, or specialized cargoAbility to operate a variety of transport vehicles, including tankers and refrigerated unitsKnowledge of DOT regulations and compliance requirementsAbility to lift, secure, and manage heavy loadsStrong attention to detail and reliabilityEligible to gain access to U.S. military base (U.S. citizen, authorized non-U.S. citizen, clean background, etc.)We will be extra impressed if you have:Hazmat and/or Tanker endorsementsPassenger endorsementExperience supporting government or military operationsFamiliarity with load securement standards for heavy equipmentBasic mechanical knowledge for minor troubleshootingWork Environment & Schedule:Temporary, on-call/as-needed basis depending on contract requirementsWork may include extended hours, weekends, and travelOutdoor and field-based work in varying conditionsWhat kind of benefits does Terrestris Offer?We offer outstanding benefits including health, financial, and retirement benefits, as well as paid leave, professional development, tuition assistance, and work-life programs.
