ID: 78354600 Shift: 12H Nights 12hr nights, 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, holidays based on unit coverage Description: Unit Solutions Pre-Screens IF RECOMMENDED send to manager for approval to offer, no 2nd interview unless requested by travelerMUST HAVE 2 YEARS OF LEVEL 4 EXPERIENCE, will screen busy Level 3PREVIOUS TRAVEL EXPERIENCE PREFERRED50 mile radius rule, DL is source of truthDAY 1 PASS FAIL SIMs Lab: All RNs will be expected to complete SIMs Lab for Foley catheter insertion & central line dressing changes, with the exception of NyICU & ED. NyICU only has to do Foley catheter insertion. ED does Foley catheter insertion but does port-a-cath insertion instead of central line dressing change. This is for travelers going to St. Joseph main campus &/or St. Joseph Westgate campus. NOTE - SIMs lab is pass/fail & nurses have been termed during SIMs Lab for breaking sterile field. Those travelers that understand sterile field typically pass SIMs Lab skills (See separate notes for the specific checklist IF traveler asks for additional details). The hospital expects that every nurse is competent in these areas, especially maintaining sterile field, as these are nursing skills that are performed frequently. NOTE: if a candidate indicates that they are not competent in either of these areas, they are probably not a good fit. In addition to SIMs Lab, they will also go through lifts, restraints, & wound care, but these are just educational based since the equipment & policies can be different facility to facility. - Unit: NICU - Level 4- # beds: 71 - 17 of those stepdown- Certs: BLS, NRP. Cardiac STABLE plus. Minimum 3 years of experience (required). - Ratios: 1:2 ICU, 1:3 Level 2- EMR: Cerner- Charge Nurse: Yes, no patient assignment. Also a high risk RN resource. - Nurse Aides: 1 PCT per shift.- Weekend Requirement: Every 3rd weekend.- Holidays: 3 of 6 major holidays.- Scrub Color: Navy- Tele: Phillips- Vents: RT manages- Hospitalis or Intensivist in house: Neonatologist and midlevels 24/7- RT 24/7: Yes - Pharmacy 24/7; NICU Pharmacy, during the day- Shifts; 7-7 shifts- Floating: Mother baby, Labor care - babies only.- Floor specific orientation: 2-3 days on the floor- Common diagnosis / Types of patients: Premature, cardiac defects, genetic disorders, surgical, ecmo and cooling.- Additional Notes: 4 private rooms. , Cancellation can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment, 3 shifts for assignments that are less than 13 weeks Charting BSN License to , willing to wait Trauma Level:1 Care Shift nights, 4 total weekend shifts per 4 weeks, holidays based on unit coverage Required Certification Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Contract Weeks:56
