Sage Veterinary Imaging
Veterinary Technician I (Tech I) NOTE: all applicants must complete a work style survey HERE: Building the Foundation for Exceptional Specialty Patient Care "I want to grow my technical skills while making a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their families," keep reading. Sage Veterinary Imaging is not a general practice. We are not an emergency hospital. We don't provide wellness visits or routine vaccinations. We exist for one reason: to provide advanced diagnostic imaging that helps pets receive the right diagnosis—and the right treatment—as quickly as possible. Sage Veterinary Imaging is seeking a Veterinary Technician I (Tech I) to provide exceptional patient care while developing advanced skills in anesthesia, diagnostic imaging, and specialty veterinary medicine. Your work directly supports patient safety, diagnostic quality, and an exceptional client experience. Why This Role Is Different Most veterinary technician positions involve routine appointments, vaccinations, and general practice medicine. At Sage Veterinary Imaging, you'll develop specialized technical skills while working exclusively in advanced diagnostic medicine. Responsibilities include: Communicate patient updates clearly and professionally. Collaborate with teammates to ensure efficient patient flow. Assist Technician Assistants in patient handling and workflow. Participate in rounds, case discussions, and team meetings. Demonstrate flexibility by assisting multiple departments as needed. Promote Sage Veterinary Imaging's mission, vision, and values through every interaction. Professional Growth & Learning The Veterinary Technician I is expected to actively develop the technical knowledge and skills necessary for advancement within the organization. Responsibilities include: Complete required training in advanced imaging and anesthesia protocols. Participate in continuing education opportunities. Seek feedback from senior technicians and doctors. Develop proficiency in specialty imaging workflows. Maintain applicable licensure and continuing education requirements. Demonstrate continuous improvement through ongoing learning and skill development. This Is a Great Fit For Newly credentialed or early‑career veterinary technicians. Individuals eager to learn advanced imaging and anesthesia. Compassionate professionals who enjoy hands‑on patient care. Team players who thrive in collaborative specialty environments. Technicians who value precision, organization, and continuous learning. Professionals seeking long‑term career growth in specialty veterinary medicine. Qualifications Licensed, Registered, or Certified Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT/CVT), or eligible for credentialing according to state requirements. Previous veterinary clinical experience preferred. Strong patient handling and nursing skills. Basic knowledge of anesthesia monitoring and patient care. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Commitment to compassionate patient care and continuous professional development. Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced specialty environment. Growth & Development Opportunities We believe exceptional technicians never stop learning. Growth opportunities may include: Advancement to Veterinary Technician II . Advanced MRI, CT, ultrasound, and fluoroscopy training. Advanced anesthesia and critical care education. Cross‑training across multiple imaging modalities. Participation in specialty certifications and continuing education. Mentorship from experienced technicians, specialists, and board‑certified radiologists. Opportunities to contribute to protocol development and quality improvement initiatives. Curious? That's Enough to Apply. You don't need to have years of specialty experience before joining our team. We believe curiosity, compassion, and a commitment to learning are the foundation of exceptional veterinary medicine. If you're passionate about advancing your technical skills, delivering outstanding patient care, and becoming part of a collaborative team dedicated exclusively to advanced diagnostic imaging, we'd love to hear from you. Core Responsibilities Expected of a Tech I This role establishes the technical foundation expected before promotion to Tech II . Key competencies include: Comprehensive patient admission and nursing care Venipuncture and IV catheter placement Diagnostic sample collection and handling Patient restraint and low‑stress handling techniques Basic anesthesia preparation, monitoring, and recovery MRI, CT, ultrasound, and radiology patient preparation Accurate medical record documentation Infection prevention and hospital safety Equipment preparation and maintenance Effective communication with clients and the medical team Development toward independent anesthesia management and advanced imaging proficiency #J-18808-Ljbffr Sage Veterinary Imaging
