Job Description Job Description Position Mission Support gas turbine repair operations by fabricating and welding components to precise specifications. The TIG Welder analyzes work orders and technical drawings, executes high-quality welds, and ensures compliance with safety and quality standards to meet manufacturing and repair objectives. Schedule: 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 3:30 PM – 2:00 AM Language: English or Spanish Key Responsibilities Analyze work orders, blueprints, and completed assemblies to determine welding requirements and appropriate techniques. Fabricate components by cleaning, preparing, cutting, fitting, and TIG welding metal parts. Set up and measure assemblies to ensure dimensional accuracy. Select appropriate welding methods and materials based on project requirements. Inspect and test completed welds to verify quality and conformance to specifications. Document work performed and complete required production and inspection records. Maintain a safe work environment by following company procedures and regulatory requirements. Operate and maintain welding equipment; troubleshoot issues and coordinate repairs when necessary. Participate in training and skill development activities to enhance welding proficiency. Support overall manufacturing objectives by completing related duties as assigned. Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications TIG welding experience required (weld test administered prior to employment). Experience in welding and fabrication within industrial or turbine repair environments preferred. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Basic knowledge of welding safety practices and procedures. Experience using power tools and fabrication equipment. Strong documentation and record-keeping skills. Dependability and ability to work independently or within a team. Ability to lift and handle materials in a manufacturing environment. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and move materials as required. Ability to stand for extended periods.
