Class A CDL Local Driver

Job Description

We are hiring Class A CDL Drivers for a dedicated local operation serving dealerships throughout the Midwest. This position offers consistent freight, daily home time, and assigned equipment. Drivers will deliver auto parts to dealership locations across Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Missouri, Wisconsin, and Ohio while operating late-model Freightliner equipment.

This is a hands-on position that requires unloading freight using a liftgate and electric pallet jack. Most deliveries are multi-stop routes, and many stops are unattended. Drivers will also be responsible for picking up dealership returns and loading them onto the trailer for transport. Safety, customer service, and on-time delivery are critical to success in this role.

Job Details

Dedicated auto parts account
Multi-stop deliveries throughout the Midwest
Deliveries in IN, IL, KY, MI, MO, WI, and OH
Relay routes to drivers based in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Ohio
Preloaded trailers
Average stop time of 25 to 30 minutes
Most deliveries are unattended
Drivers are expected to run all assigned route types

Equipment

Freightliner tractors
53-foot liftgate trailers
Electric pallet jacks provided
Assigned equipment (slip seating only when necessary for maintenance)
Trucks remain at the account during time off

Responsibilities

Deliver auto parts to dealership locations
Unload freight using a liftgate and electric pallet jack
Load dealership returns when required
Verify delivery accuracy at each stop
Maintain safe and on-time performance standards

Qualifications

Valid Class A CDL
Minimum 3 months of recent tractor-trailer experience
Experience operating an electric pallet jack preferred
Ability to perform unloading duties throughout the shift
Safe driving record
Must meet all DOT requirements
Ability to pass a drug screen and background check

Additional Requirements

Steel-toe boots required
Company uniforms provided and must be worn
Strong commitment to safety and customer service
