The team on 5900 provides chemotherapy, pain management, support of radiation interventions, infusion of blood products, administration of blood products, and hydration. Infusion of fresh and frozen hematopoietic cell transplant products (peripheral blood stem cells/bone marrow). Telemetry, hemodynamic, ventilator, and dialysis support. Supportive care for hematopoietic cell transplant and leukemia patients. Patients are moderate to high acuity with a high complexity of interventions and patient care needs including clinical, spiritual, psycho-social, and family care./ph3Preferred Qualifications/h3pRole Purpose/ppProvides direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning implementation, and evaluation within the guidelines of the standards of nursing care./ppResponsibilities/pulliPromotes patient and family centered care in a healing environment. Educates patients and their families on how to manage their illness or injury, including post treatment home care needs and medication administration./liliParticipates in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Participates in professional development./liliDevelops, implements, and documents individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with other members of the interprofessional team and patient, family, or caregiver in accordance with the established guidelines and standards of nursing care. Proactively plans and ensures communication of the plan of care across the continuum of care./liliUses critical nursing skills to assess and evaluate physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care.
