Leadership And Technical Oversight For Skilled TradesProvides leadership and technical oversight for all skilled trades across the district, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. Ensures the reliability, safety, and long-term performance of building systems through preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, lifecycle asset management, hazardous materials risk assessment, and contractor oversight.Serves as the district's technical authority on building systems and partners with Maintenance Operations to ensure aligned and efficient service delivery.Reports To: Executive Director, Capital Programs & MaintenanceSalary Schedule: 304Work Days: 250Requirements:Education Level: Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.Preferred: NoneExperience, Skill, and Certification:Minimum of 10 years of experience in skilled trades leadershipDemonstrated expertise in building systems and maintenance programsPreferred:Experience in K-12 or public sector facilitiesFamiliarity with building automation systems (BAS/EMS) at an oversight levelEssential Duties:1. Technical Systems LeadershipDirects skilled trades to ensure reliability and performance of building systems across the districtEstablishes and enforces technical standards for maintenance, repair, and system replacement2. Preventive & Predictive MaintenanceLeads development and execution of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies for all major systemsEnsures alignment of maintenance practices with long-term asset performance goals3. Asset Lifecycle ManagementOversees lifecycle planning for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related infrastructurePartners with Capital Programs to align maintenance strategies with long-range facility plans4. Contractor & Vendor OversightDevelops and manages service contracts for technical systemsEnsures vendor performance, compliance, and accountability5. Compliance & Risk ManagementEnsures compliance with all regulatory inspections and requirements (fire marshal, boiler, elevator, IAQ, etc.)Oversees technical risk mitigation related to building systems6. Cross-Functional IntegrationCollaborates with Maintenance Operations Senior Director to align technical execution with service delivery systemsPartners with internal stakeholders on system integration and infrastructure planningTerms Of EmploymentIncumbents will be considered "at will." This position is "essential personnel, critical staff" when there is an event that creates security challenges or disruptions to district operations. This position may be required to work during identified periods of an emergency as defined in Policy Regulation GBRB-R, Title: Professional Personnel Time Schedules. Appropriate pay will be determined based on the Grade 304 of the administrator scale and allowable experience as determined by Human Resources.
