eagle Controls Controls Technician Intern 16305 Swingley Ridge Road Chesterfield, MO 63017 Salary: 21.00 USD / HOUR eagle Controls is seeking undergraduate students completing their Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, and/or computer science engineering, electrical and/or controls technology, HVAC technology and instrumentation or a related degree to join our team as a Controls Technician Intern for the Summer of 2026 Internship Program. eagle Controls uses the most advanced, user-friendly automation systems in the market. eagle designs, builds, programs and commissions building automation system projects for new or existing construction across a variety of markets. IMI’s acquisition of eagle Controls in 2018 helped complete our unique offering of beginning-to-end mechanical system delivery. eagle Controls is headquartered in Chesterfield, MO and has offices in Granite City, IL, Nashville, TN, and Charlotte, NC. We are currently looking for undergraduate students to join our team as a Controls Technician Intern based out of our Chesterfield, MO office. Our ideal candidate for this role will be in their sophomore or junior year in a related field of study. This role will perform assigned system commissioning using Delta Controls configuration and commissioning tools. Primary responsibilities for eagle’s Controls Technician Intern include: Assisting in the validating of complete system functionality and troubleshooting any issues that arise. Learning and performing the basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (i.e. sensors, actuators, etc) and completing all required commissioning documentation. Communicating updates to management and the customer so that all parties are informed of job progress to ensure customer satisfaction. Calibrating systems requiring basic electronic test equipment. Working to develop a knowledge base to read automation code with the help of online training tools and coworker support. Documenting changes and providing information for as-built documentation. Responding to basic warranty calls, assessing their needs, and providing solutions or paths for a positive customer service experience. Completing administrative tasks including but not limited to time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation. Abiding by all safety standards and attend required safety training. Primary qualifications for eagle’s Controls Technician Intern include: Currently enrolled in an Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree for mechanical/electrical/computer science engineering, electrical/controls technology, or HVAC technology and instrumentation. Basic computer skills IT knowledge or experience preferred. Demonstrated technical aptitude with the ability to interpret, analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve technical problems. Self-motivated with excellent time and communication skills. Ability to work within an environment with deadlines while having to multi-task changing priorities. Demonstrates confidence in their working knowledge and is committed to researching/asking for the answers to find a solution for things they do not know. Working Schedule & Compensation Compensation : $21/hour Working Schedule: Full-Time (40hrs/week) with a flexible start and end date.
