Wide Format Print Production Specialist

This is an active position, the production specialist is on their feet most of the day: printing, cutting, finishing, constructing signage and display graphics, and assisting with the daily production activities.

Opening for a Print Production Specialist! This is an excellent position for a motivated individual who can work successfully within a team environment and ensure deadlines for new projects in wide format printing are met. The primary goal of this role is to produce high-quality products in an efficient manner.

Position Responsibilities

Print Production:

• Quality – Premium quality is our core competency and the cornerstone of our business! Proactively brings matters of sub-par quality to the forefront with their production manager and regional manager to resolve issues and uphold quality standards
• Pre-Press – Well versed in file management/conversion and able to manipulate for optimal quality
• Workflow management – Assists production manager with managing the daily workflow. Reviews open orders each day to help execute on the daily production schedule while being flexible to adapt to shifting deadlines
• Production – Assists with all aspects of print production: printing, cutting, laminating, finishing, etc.
• Misprints – Keeps rework, errors, and overall waste to a minimum and pays close attention to order details to avoid additional steps
• Problem Solving – proficient knowledge of machinery and software to pair critical thinking with the ability to proactively solve challenges in the production process
• Innovation - Using knowledge of materials, equipment, and processes to create new and innovative products to differentiate our business in the eyes of consumers

Production Facility Management:

• Inventory Management – Works closely with production manager to proactively plan to have ample material on-site for production means

Equipment Maintenance:

• Executes routine maintenance on equipment to ensure it stays in good working order
• Strives to learn the operation of all equipment to ensure ample "bench strength" across the production team

Design:

• Understanding of graphic design applications and how to translate a design concept or request into a product that can bring a client's vision to life in production

Position Requirements:

• Experience in wide format printing, cutting, lamination, and finishing work
• Great understanding of the digital printing process and best practices involved
• Well-versed and fluent in PC operated design programs including Photoshop and Illustrator
• Organized and demonstrates an ability to take detailed projects and maintain in-depth inventory counts through means of Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail paired with great multitasking ability
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently within a cohesive team setting
• Graphic design experience a major plus!
• Positive energy with strong communication skills
• Maintains a professional appearance, manner, and communication
• Proactively provides suggestions for improvement in processes, equipment, materials, etc. that will help grow the business through improved quality, cost savings, and/or efficiency
• Team player and able to provide insights for Production Manager and Operations Director on potential solutions (design, materials, processes, etc.) for enhanced quality

**PLEASE NOTE: This role often requires the lifting of heavy boxes, materials, and objects. The candidate will need to be capable of handling and lifting weights at times upwards of 50-75 lbs.**
