Posted: 23/06/2026 Closing Date: 21/07/2026 Salary: $155,000.00 Job Type: Permanent - Full Time Location: Newcastle Job Role Senior IT Systems Administrator – The IT Systems Administrator administrates, supports and ensures the secure operation of the organisation’s core IT and OT systems and platforms. The role provides Level 2 support and acts as a senior escalation point. Responsibilities Deliver timely, customer focussed support and administration across the IT and OT environments meeting the needs of internal and external stakeholders. Perform analysis to troubleshoot hardware, software and network issues within defined SLAs ensuring customer satisfaction. Act as a senior escalation point for Desktop and infrastructure incidents. Provide administrative support to the organisation’s desktop environment including M365, Active Directory, Entra‑ID and Intune. Evaluate applications and software patches for deployment to desktop, including packaging software in MS Intune. Support high availability and disaster recovery processes including backup / recovery and patching. Implement and support evolving security implementations aligned with Essential 8 and NIST certification initiatives and compliance. Provision IT infrastructure in compliance with procurement policies and processes. Qualifications & Experience Tertiary qualifications in IT or Engineering or equivalent experience. Broad experience and application of OT and IT networking and security concepts (SCADA). Relevant vendor certifications such as Microsoft and Cisco. Significant experience in M365 administration, Windows Active Directory, Azure AD, ServiceNow or other similar applications. Current driver’s licence. Willingness to travel between locations within the portfolio. Willingness to participate in on‑call arrangements.
