Remote Bookkeeper

Beech Valley Solutions is seeking a dependable Bookkeeper to support day-to-day bookkeeping for multiple small business clients. This contract role focuses on maintaining accurate, current books through transaction coding, reconciliations, and clear account documentation. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing multiple sets of books independently in a fully remote environment. What You’ll Do Categorize and code transactions in QuickBooks Online across multiple small business accounts Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations and investigate discrepancies Maintain clean, well-documented, and up-to-date general ledgers Track month-end progress and provide clear status updates on account health and open items Identify and flag unusual activity, missing documentation, or potential errors for review Ensure consistency and accuracy across all assigned client accounts What We’re Looking For Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online bookkeeping or similar software Must be QBO Certified or other ERP certification Proven ability to manage multiple clients or accounts simultaneously High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote environment Strong communication skills and responsiveness Nice to Have Experience supporting small business or outsourced accounting clients Familiarity with month-end close workflows Comfort documenting processes and maintaining clear audit trails Why Beech Valley?
