Description
American Traveler is seeking an RN for a Progressive Care Unit/IMC role requiring at least two years of current IMC experience and NC or compact RN licensure.
Details
- Hospital-based Progressive Care Unit (IMC) within a staffing pool supporting flexible nursing coverage across inpatient units and ED-held patients
- Patient care includes telemetry monitoring, IV/PICC line care, IV insertion, tube care, and port management
- 12-hour night shifts from 7:00pm to 7:00am
- 36 hours per week at 0.9 FTE
- Weekend rotation required every other weekend
- Holiday coverage required on an every-other-holiday basis
- On-call responsibility of one shift per pay period if census drops
Requirements
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact licensure
- Minimum of 2 years current IMC experience with willingness to take IMC patients
- Minimum of 1 year general nursing experience
- Nursing Diploma, ADN, or ASN from an accredited nursing program required; BSN or MSN preferred
- BLS certification (AHA or ARC) required
- NIHSS certification required
- CPI-A certification required
- ACLS certification preferred
- PCU/IMC skills checklist required for consideration

- Delivers competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards under the direction of the Nurse Manager/Director
- Performs bedside point of care testing and coordinates discharge planning activities
- Participates in performance improvement activities and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Utilizes effective communication systems and adheres to healthcare organization policies and regulatory guidelines
- Supports a safe, clean, and secure hospital environment
