Associate Director Business Development (New York City Metropolitan Area)

We're partnering with a leading global law firm on a rare Associate Director, Marketing & BD Strategy opportunity in New York.

Reporting directly to the CMO, this role will serve as a trusted advisor and strategic partner, taking on a broad range of Chief of Staff-style responsibilities across the Marketing & Business Development function.

We're keen to speak with candidates from Marketing, Business Development, Communications, Practice Management, Project Management, or Chief of Staff type roles who are looking to move into a more strategic, business-facing role.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the CMO and senior leadership to drive execution of the firm's Marketing & BD strategy.
• Lead operational and strategic initiatives that enhance the effectiveness of the Marketing & BD function.
• Support planning of firm events, sponsorships, and industry engagement activities to strengthen brand visibility.
• Manage internal communications on behalf of the CMO, including team updates and firm-wide announcements.
• Collaborate on budget planning, ROI tracking, and resource allocation to maximize impact.
• Leverage data and insights to support decision-making, identify opportunities, and improve processes.

Given the unique nature of this role we would be keen to engage those within the legal sector but also in wider professional services and financial services. Being able to demonstrate prior responsibilities similar to that of a Chief of Staff would be highly desirable.
