Job Description:Accounting ManagerLocation: Onsite at Jer-Den Plastics, 750 Woodside Dr, St. Louis, MI 48880Position Type: Full-Time or Flexible Schedule Consideration for Qualified CandidatesAbout the Opportunity:We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to serve as a financial partner to company leadership of $10M rotational molding company. This position is ideal for a Senior Accountant, Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, or experienced Controller seeking a smaller-company environment where they can make a direct impact.The successful candidate will oversee the monthly financial close process, support inventory accounting, work closely with operations, and help leadership understand business performance and profitability.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the monthly accounting close process in coordination with the holding company.Review account reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statements.Ensure financial reporting is accurate and compliant with GAAP.Analyze monthly operating results and provide insights to company leadership.Partner with the President to review financial performance, trends, and profitability.Oversee inventory accounting and collaborate with operations to improve accuracy and controls.Support and provide leadership to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.Develop and improve accounting procedures, reporting processes, and internal controls.Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash management, and financial planning activities.Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and profitability.Coordinate annual audits and external reporting requirements.Serve as the primary accounting resource for the business and liaison with the holding company.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.Minimum 1-2 years of progressive accounting experience.Manufacturing and inventory accounting experience strongly preferred.Experience leading month-end close activities.Ability to analyze financial results and communicate findings to non-financial leaders.Strong problem-solving and process improvement mindset.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience with systems.Why Join Us?Direct interaction with company leadership.Ability to influence decisions and business performance.Broad responsibilities across accounting, operations, and financial management.Flexible structure for qualified candidates seeking a reduced schedule or transition from public accounting.Opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a growing organization.Jasper is an equal opportunity employer.
