Location: Orlando, FL
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Compensation: $100,000 - $120,000 annually

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cardiac PET/CT Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) to perform high-quality cardiac imaging studies in a clinical cardiology setting. The technologist will be responsible for radiopharmaceutical preparation and administration, PET/CT imaging procedures, equipment quality control, and ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Perform all cardiac PET/CT and nuclear medicine imaging procedures.
Prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and tracer studies under physician supervision.
Operate PET/CT and nuclear medicine imaging equipment to acquire high-quality diagnostic images.
Verify physician orders prior to patient imaging and ensure accuracy of all study requests.
Maintain and calibrate imaging and radiopharmaceutical equipment.
Perform routine quality control procedures on imaging systems and equipment.
Safely handle, store, and dispose of radioactive materials in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
Record, process, and document imaging studies using Radiology Information Systems and imaging software.
Communicate with patients regarding medical history, symptoms, and procedural expectations.
Maintain patient safety, comfort, privacy, and dignity at all times.
Ensure accurate and complete patient documentation in electronic systems.
Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment.
Assist administrative staff as needed.
Maintain all required certifications, licensure, and continuing education requirements.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) certification preferred or required
RT(N) Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)
RT(CT) Certification
1-2 years of Nuclear Medicine or PET/CT experience (or equivalent education and training)

CPR Certification
ACLS Certification
NMTCB Certification (preferred)
RT(N) Certification
Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT)
RT(CT) Certification

Technical Skills

Radiology Information Systems (RIS)
QCT Pro and Smart Score software
3D imaging software
Microsoft Office Suite

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to lift or move up to 50 lbs occasionally
Frequent use of hands, arms, and full range of motion
Ability to maintain visual acuity for imaging procedures
Exposure to radiation in a controlled clinical environment
