Dental Hygienist
Boston, MA | Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM–4:30 PM
6-Month Contract with Potential for Permanent Hire
Sigma Systems is seeking a licensed Dental Hygienist to support the Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine and its active patient clinic in Boston.
This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on patient care with an academic healthcare environment. You'll work in a busy dental school clinic that serves the Boston community while helping support the education and development of future dental professionals. If you enjoy patient interaction, mentoring through example, and being part of a collaborative clinical team, this role offers a chance to make a meaningful impact every day.

- Perform dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing
- Expose and process radiographs
- Conduct periodontal assessments and oral cancer screenings
- Administer local anesthesia and therapeutic agents as permitted
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment plans
- Review and update medical histories and clinical records
- Maintain OSHA, infection control, sterilization, and HIPAA standards
- Set up and break down operatories and treatment areas
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, students, and clinical personnel to deliver exceptional patient care
- Associate's Degree, Technical Degree, or equivalent Dental Hygiene education
- Current Massachusetts Dental Hygienist License
- 1+ years of Dental Hygienist experience
- Experience with radiographs, periodontal treatment, patient education, and infection control
- Current CPR certification
- Ability to meet immunization and health clearance requirements
