DevOps Engineer

DevOps EngineerLocation: Cincinnati (Day 1 onsite)Required Skills1 or more modern programming language (Java/Go/Python/Ruby)Automation Tooling (IaC: Terraform or similar, Ci/CD, release validation)AWS (multi-region, scaling, DR)Distributed System DesignIncident Management (RCA, retrospectives)Performance & Reliability Engineering (latency optimization, load testing, capacity planning, chaos engineering, failure injection)Job Description• Build and maintain the production infrastructure and services. • Ensure proper security for the infrastructure. • Troubleshoot production issues. • Develop/maintain processes, tools, and documentation in support of production. • Participate in the evaluation of new software, hardware, and infrastructure solutions. • Experience as a er working with large distributed systems • Experience with a variety of scripting languages for automating tasks, generating reports, and creating tools (e.g. Go, Java, Python, Perl, Shell) • Experience with a continuous integration and delivery model of deploying software • Automation skills with Chef, Puppet, Ansible, SaltStack or similar • Experience with one or more of the following: PHP, Go, Python, Scala, Ruby, Javascript, Memcached, LAMP, nginx, node.js, nosql, Varnish • Working knowledge of software development methodologies including code profiling, regression testing, continuous integration and push button deployments • Experience as either a LAMP stack software developer and/or systems administrator/systems engineer • Experience with high-availability, high-performance, open source web technologies • Experience with cloud platforms, open source databases and caching layers • Automates all infrastructure build out in AWS utilizing Ansible, Packer, and Terraform • Distributed Systems, DFS, Kubernetes (k8s), Sarm, Mesosphere, Docker, Services Discovery, Container Orchestration, DFW, Apache, SPark, Hadoop, CLI, API, DevOps, Consul, vault, and microservice.Qualifications/Education: • Degree or equivalent experience. • Experience in scripting and development. • Experience with open source monitoring and alerting systems. • Experience with web applications. • IP networking experience, LB technologies. • Experience with systems automation. • Experience with big data systems.
