RN Clinical Perioperative Nurse

Job Summary

The RN Clinical Perioperative Nurse is an integral member of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care. This role emphasizes proactive engagement within a clinical environment supported by Nurse Managers and leaders through a shared governance model.

Practice Framework

The practice framework is guided by a professional practice model that anchors nursing competencies in evidence-based practices and research. Clinical nurses are expected to uphold the standards set forth by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act, as well as the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics established by the American Nurses Association.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver individualized patient care while collaborating with licensed and unlicensed caregivers.
Encourage patient involvement, ensuring their voices are heard in the care process.
Adhere to system policies and procedures, promoting service excellence goals.
Engage in ongoing professional development and competency assessments.

Qualifications

Current license as a Registered Nurse in Georgia.
Comprehensive knowledge of perioperative nursing practices.
Demonstrated commitment to the professional practice of nursing.

Work Environment

Clinical Perioperative Nurses operate within a collaborative healthcare team aimed at meeting the needs of patients, families, and significant others in a supportive work environment.

Location
