The applicant should be a self-starter, individual contributor and able to collaborate closely with systems engineers and software engineers and testers.If this sounds like the kind of environment where you can thrive, keep reading!Primary ResponsibilitiesIn this role you will perform radar systems analysis, deep dive customer noted issues through root cause identification and resolution, simplify tactical radar algorithms to representative effects that can function in real-time, and document results for technical briefings to end-users and project leadership.This role involves development of a significant amount of analysis tools through MATLAB / Python to develop algorithms to provide to software engineers and to ensure they are working according to design.This position requires working daily on-site at a government customer facility on a multi-contractor team and interacting regularly with industry partners and the government customer. Through this opportunity the candidate will be expected to represent Leidos technically, professionally, and ethically.Basic QualificationsMust be a US citizen possess and be able to maintain an active SECRET clearance.Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Radar Engineering, or a related STEM discipline plus 8-12 years of experience in radar design, modeling & simulation, and/or analysis or Masters degree in STEM disciplines and a minimum of 6 – 10 years of experience in radar design, modeling & simulation, and/or analysis.Familiarity with compiled software languages such as C/C++, and competence in a broad array of radar topics such as detection theory, tracking, waveform scheduling, and object classification.Position requires strong analysis skills, including analysis experience using MATLAB or Python. Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the Huntsville - North Alabama, AL area.This posting is for multiple opportunities ranging in years of experience.
