Auto/Premise Liability Associate Attorney

We are seeking an attorney with five (5) years experience to handle auto accident and premises liability cases from inception through trial.

The attorney will be responsible for managing an active caseload. This role requires being a member in good standing with the New Jersey Bar with at least 5 years of liability litigation experience and the ability to manage cases, conduct depositions, attend court appearances, negotiate settlements, and prepare cases for trial.

Responsibilities include:

• Handle auto and premises liability matters from inception through trial.
• Draft pleadings, discovery, motions, and legal correspondence.
• Conduct depositions and prepare clients and witnesses.
• Attend court conferences, arbitrations, mediations, and trials.
• Negotiate settlements with insurance carriers and defense counsel.
• Work directly with assigned paralegal to move files efficiently.
• Maintain accurate case notes, deadlines, and litigation strategy.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience.
• Experience with auto accident and premises liability cases.
• Trial experience or significant trial-preparation experience.
• Strong litigation, negotiation, writing, and client communication skills.
• Must be able to work in-office five days per week in Newark, NJ.
