The Onsite Staffing Recruiter serves as the primary point of contact between our staffing agency, employees, and client. This role is responsible for recruiting, onboarding using industry-standard applicant tracking systems, managing attendance, resolving employee concerns, and ensuring the client's daily staffing needs are met. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys building relationships with both employees and clients.

 

Key Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and onboard qualified candidates for client positions.
• Maintain daily communication with the onsite client regarding staffing levels, attendance, and workforce needs.
• Conduct new hire orientations and complete all onboarding documentation.
• Manage employee attendance, call-offs, and schedule replacements as needed.
• Perform regular floor walks and maintain a visible presence within the client's facility.
• Address employee questions, concerns, coaching, and disciplinary issues while maintaining professionalism.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, client expectations, and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate employee records and update the applicant tracking system (ATS).
• Coordinate drug screens, background checks, E-Verify, and other pre-employment requirements.
• Monitor employee performance, retention, and engagement.
• Assist with payroll by reviewing and submitting employee hours accurately and on time.
• Develop recruiting strategies to maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates.
• Build positive relationships with client managers and supervisors.
• Prepare reports on staffing metrics, attendance, turnover, and recruiting activity.
• Participate in hiring events, job fairs, and community recruiting initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1–2 years of recruiting
• Previous staffing agency experience is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in light industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
• Positive attitude with a strong customer-service mindset.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently walk throughout the client facility during the workday.
• Flexible hours to insure 2nd and 3rd shift have presence
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
