Position: Program Manager III (net Zero) Location: Menlo Park, California Duration: 9 months Contract Job ID: 178740 Job Overview: The Net Zero Program Manager, Data Foundations, will play a critical role in supporting sustainability strategy and programs. This position is part of the Net Zero Data Foundations team and will be responsible for program management, coordination, analytics, and reporting. The role requires a strong background in managing multiple concurrent workstreams, working with large datasets, and communicating insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. Familiarity with corporate greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting and emissions forecasting is essential. This is a full-time, contingent position to cover a team lead's leave. Responsibilities: Drive day-to-day execution across active workstreams, including GHG inventory, emissions forecasting, measurement, and supplier emissions. Track milestones, dependencies, and risks to ensure on-schedule delivery. Develop and maintain program management artifacts such as roadmaps, trackers, status reports, and executive-ready updates. Prepare for and facilitate recurring team meetings and cross-functional syncs, including building agendas, capturing decisions, and following through on action items. Support monthly and quarterly reporting, including execution updates, executive meeting preparation, and deck creation using established templates. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth data and process flows from data sources to disclosures. Contribute to triage and response of incoming research, data, and analytical requests. Track progress against targets and benchmark performance against internal KPIs and stakeholder expectations. Support lightweight data pulls, QA, and validation to keep reporting and analysis on schedule. Qualifications: BA or BS degree in social sciences, physical sciences, math, engineering, accounting, statistics, business, environment, or a sustainability-focused field. 5+ years of experience in program management, business operations, or project coordination, ideally supporting technical or data-oriented teams. Familiarity with corporate GHG emissions accounting concepts (Scope 1, 2, and 3) and emissions forecasting or scenario modeling. Exceptional project management skills with the ability to self-manage complex delivery in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting data and insights to technical and non-technical audiences. High-level proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel and slide/deck creation, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and charts. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, even under tight deadlines. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment and comfort with ambiguity. Preferred Qualifications: Strong understanding of current practices and trends in greenhouse gas emissions and broader sustainability reporting. Experience using data access tools and building visualizations from large datasets and multiple data sources, particularly with Tableau and Excel. Experience with a scripting/query language (e.g., SQL, Python) sufficient to run or QA basic data pulls. Familiarity with external reporting standards such as CDP, ISSB, GRI, TCFD, SASB, etc. Experience working within large, matrixed organizations and coordinating across cross-functional partners.
