Quality Technician - 1st Shift

Where is the work: On‑Site (5 days) Position Description Provide timely responses and completions for Apriso ANDONs. Work as a core member of the MDI team supporting JDI/9Steps/GEMBA walks and reporting quality status. Investigate root cause and corrective actions for mechanical, electrical, brazing, and welding issues. Generate quality alerts displaying good versus bad product. Cross‑train, learn, and support multiple chiller lines. Collaborate in a team environment with quality, manufacturing, and engineering groups. Respond to field issues (FQAs) with immediate containment. Perform indoor/outdoor customer containment sorts and audits regardless of weather. Must be computer savvy; manage phone, laptop, email, Teams, texts, and andons. Support MRB and repair when possible, using hand tools and maintaining spare parts. Utilize programs such as Windchill, Apriso, Oracle, MDP, and Excel. Answer quality questions based on FCAT/FCOD options and key operations. Review and improve Apriso OMS work instructions with manufacturing engineering support. Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly work area. Train others as necessary to build quality products and support customers. Qualifications Ability to read and understand wiring schematics and drawings. Familiarity with quality measurement tools, including dimensional and electrical equipment, and good manual dexterity with hand tools. Strong mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of electrical laws. Basic understanding of the refrigeration cycle. Good communication skills, customer‑first attitude, and willingness to coach others. Proficiency with computers and the Windows operating environment. Two‑year technical degree or equivalent experience (EOL test) is a plus but not required. Willingness to work all shifts and flex to satisfy customer demand; some overtime will be required. Compensation Hourly: $24.66 - $28.79 (Base Salary Range or Hourly Base Pay Range) Benefits Health insurance and holistic wellness programs effective on day one.
