IR Tech – Interventional Radiology

Location: Mercy Hospital Springfield – Springfield, MO
Shift: Days | Monday–Friday | 7:30 AM–5:00 PM
Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology experience
• ARRT (R) certification required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Advanced certification such as CI, VI, CV, or RCIS preferred
• Experience with EPIC/Radiant preferred
• Must be able to float as required by the facility

Job Responsibilities

• Assist physicians and the care team with diagnostic and invasive IR procedures.
• Provide scrub assistance and record procedure images.
• Operate special procedure imaging equipment while following radiation safety practices.
• Administer contrast materials and review medication reconciliation for contraindications.
• Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures.
• Operate essential patient care equipment, including oxygen, suction, and blood pressure monitoring equipment.
• Use appropriate patient transfer and immobilization devices.

Unit Details

• 4 Interventional Radiology Suites
• 1:1 patient ratio
• Equipment: Siemens
• EMR: EPIC Radiant
• Patient population includes Oncology, Dialysis, Neurology, and PE patients

Call Requirements

• 1–2 weekends per month
• 4–6 weekdays per month

Additional Information Green surgical scrubs are provided by the facility and must remain onsite. Flu vaccination or an approved Mercy exemption is required for travelers from November 1 through April 1.
