Certified Surg Tech - Travel Job

Jackson HealthPros is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to expertly assist physicians and nurses in the operating room during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety by preparing the operating room, sterilizing equipment, and providing support to the surgical team. The ideal candidate will have trauma center experience and competence across gynecology and genitourinary procedures. This role requires the ability to function in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.

Minimum Requirements:

• Current CST certification from an accredited program (NBSTSA or equivalent).
• BLS certification.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist in an operating room environment. Preference stated for minimum 3 years level1 trauma trained experience.
• Competence with Intuitive Da Vinci robotics (Da Vinci Xi) and familiarity with Storz, Stryker, and Olympus equipment.
• Demonstrated experience with Gynecology and Genitourinary procedures, including PCNLs, nephrectomies, ureteral reimplants, hysterectomies, cystectomies, colpocleisis, hysteroscopies, and ureteroscopies.
• Comfort working with patient populations from pediatrics through geriatrics.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Level 1 trauma experience (preferred).
• Additional experience in general surgery, ortho trauma, ortho joints, neurosurgery, ENT, pediatrics, plastics, dental, or endovascular procedures (preferred).

Assignment Details

• Shift Hours: 07:00 - 19:00.
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
• Weekend expectation: 1:4 rotation, 12-hour weekends totaling 36 weekend hours when scheduled.
• Call requirements: one overnight trauma call (23:00 - 07:00) when assigned; specialty team call scheduled per specialty team rules.
• EMR used: Epic.
• Patient ratios: 1:1 in perioperative setting.
