Medical Aesthetician

At BoozmanHof Regional Eye Clinic, we have been Northwest Arkansas's trusted partner in eye care for more than 45 year. We seeking an aesthetician to join our oculoplastic surgery team. We have provided oculoplastic surgical and medical care with an ASOPRS trained surgeon for nearly 15 years. We currently provide a variety of cosmetic surgical procedures including upper and lower blepharoplasty, brow lift, botox injections, fillers, and skin care product lines. We also perform functional oculoplastics procedures that include treatments for lacrimal problems, cancer reconstruction, eyelid growths, and other eye/eyelid conditions. The goal of adding an aesthetician would be to increase some of our cosmetic offerings and services. The candidate would also be expected to be trained as an ophthalmic technician to help in other aspects of the oculoplastic practice.

Duties 

• Assist doctors during examinations and procedures by preparing the necessary instruments and equipment. 

• Perform preliminary eye and examination tests that are relevant to the oculoplastic and ophthalmic exam (training included)

• Record patient medical histories and vital signs accurately. 

• Educate patients on their medical/surgical/cosmetic concerns, treatment options, and post-operative care. 

• Handle phone calls, patient triage, and administrative tasks to assist the provider. 

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment. 

• Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships 

• Collaborate with team members to enhance patient experience and streamline clinic operations. 

Qualifications 

• Aesthetic license/experience is a requirement.

• Any eye or plastic surgery experience is helpful, but will provide on-site training. It is possible for the candidate to also become a certified ophthalmic technician after 2 years.

• Knowledge of medical office practices and medical terminology helpful 

• Familiarity with medications and ocular disease processes is a plus.
