About the Position

The facility operates as a Trauma Level 2. Nurses will be responsible for managing a diverse patient population, including STEMI, stroke, trauma, and falls. A high patient turnover is expected, with an average daily census of 190-200 patients. Nurses must demonstrate critical thinking skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The environment emphasizes teamwork and a positive attitude. Patients and families may be vocal about their care experiences, highlighting the importance of nursing excellence. Floating to other areas is not required. Collaborative support is available, including respiratory and anesthesia services. Documentation is carried out using the Epic system. General dress code includes professional scrubs and non-skid shoes. Nail polish should be in good condition, without gels or extensions. Beard and hair must be neatly trimmed for a professional appearance. Nurses are expected to perform basic procedures such as IV starts, EKGs, and blood draws as needed. Phlebotomy support is available 24/7, with additional staff for line placements and patient transport. Team dynamics are essential as the staff work together to ensure quality patient care.
