Overview:

Sentara Health is currently hiring a Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Cardiac Care Unit at Sentara Virginia Beach General Hospital.

Sign-On Bonus up to $20,000 for Qualified Candidates.

Hours/Shifts: Full-Time, Weekend Days, Fri-Sat-Sun, 6:45am-7:15pm, Full-Time, Weekend Nights, Fri-Sun, 645pm-715am

Overview:

This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. CCU (Cardiac Care Unit) is a 12-bed high-level intermediate care unit that specializes in caring for cardiac and vascular patients before and after interventional procedures and surgeries such as cardiac catheterizations, coronary bypass surgery, carotid surgery, and peripheral vascular surgery. CCU also cares for congestive heart failure and arrhythmia patients. We do bedside transesophageal echocardiograms and cardioversions, remove chest tubes and central lines, and so much more.

Certifications Required:

• Virginia or Compact Multi-State Registered Nursing License in good standing
  
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
  
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) w/in 6 months of hire
  

Education Required:

• RN-Diploma, ASN, BSN or MSN from an accredited school

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $41.93 - $61.01 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
