Assistant SuperintendentGlenwild Golf Club & Spa, a Top 200 Tom Fazio-designed course in Park City, is seeking a full-time, year-round Assistant Superintendent. This is a hands-on leadership role that works closely with the Superintendent and Director of Agronomy to manage and improve the golf course, including an upcoming golf course renovation.About Glenwild:Set in a private 950-acre sanctuary, Glenwild features a 7,564-yard, par-71 championship course recognized among the finest mountain courses in the U.S. Our membership is active and supportive, continually investing in facilities, technology, and people. Past and upcoming projects include:New golf practice facility (completed 2023)3,000 sq. ft. shop expansion (2025)New deep well (2025)Full course renovation (2026-27) with new irrigation system, greens, bunkers, tees, and cart pathsAnnual Capital projects and equipment replacement program in place.Role & ResponsibilitiesThe Assistant Superintendent plays a key role in daily operations and long-term planning. Responsibilities include:Required experience in supervising and training staff (8-10 year-round, 35-40 seasonal)Managing turf health, irrigation, and IPM programsLeads with hands-on approach in teaching and training of activities including chemical/fertilizer applications, irrigation repairs and adjustments and mowing, course setup, hand-wateringSupporting budgeting, planning, oversight of staff and renovation projectsMaintaining high standards of course conditioning and presentationWhat We're Looking ForA motivated, detail-oriented hands-on leader who thrives in a fast paced team environment, enjoys problem-solving, and takes pride in course conditioning. The ideal candidate will build strong relationships with staff, adapt to changing priorities, and contribute to Glenwild's culture of excellence.Qualifications3+ years golf course/turf management experience including pesticide application and irrigation maintenance and repairsDegree or certificate in agronomy, turf, or related field preferredUtah pesticide license (or ability to obtain within 150 days)Valid driver's licenseStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsExcellent Compensation & Benefits PackageSalary: $85,000-$95,000 DOE + annual bonusHealth, dental, vision insuranceHealthcare HSA, Life, AD&D and STD insurance, and additional voluntary life insurance.20 days PTO (accrues bi-weekly from day one), and 7 Holidays401(K) Plan after 1 year of employment, with 4% employer match.Summer and Winter UniformAnnual GCSAA and Professional Association dues paidEducation and National Conference OpportunitiesA mountain climate environment that is busy and fast paced during the season and with a winter schedule that allows you to enjoy the local mountains and your time off.
