Damage Prevention Manager# Damage Prevention ManagerHouston, TX 77092-8891## OverviewPosition TypeFull Time## Description**Position Description:**Lyte Fiber is undergoing expansion of its network requiring extensive construction activity this position manages the timely response and resolution of claims from third parties resulting from the construction activities throughout Lyte’s footprint. This position will establish and administer damage prevention and avoidance policies to be put in practice throughout the operations team.**Duties and Responsibilities:*** Document, track, and report on the ongoing status of all damage claims, infrastructure strikes and restoration efforts.* Establish best practices and standards for preventing and avoiding strikes and damage claims.* Work with members of the field management teams to implement and monitor adherence to damage prevention standards and report on overall effectiveness* Main point of contact for all Municipalities for claims submission and resolution.* Own the resolution of all residential claim tickets, directly contacting residents, provide regular updates on status of resolution. Verify claimant satisfaction with results.* Review claims, identify vendor responsible, verify and document vendor acceptance and financial responsibility, track costs and invoices to appropriate projects.* Direct internal and external resources on restoration to ensure each claim is resolved as quickly as possible.* Create and maintain a scorecard to measure vendor quality based on quantity of strikes, damage claims and associated resolutions.* Coordinate restoration efforts with residents and Municipalities, providing regular updates on progress.* Regularly meet with Municipal officials to present claims and strike reporting and address concerns as needed.* Ensure vendors understand and adhere to Lyte Fiber damage prevention policies and standards as well as 811 rules.* Mange all 3rd party strikes on Lyte Fiber assets and cost recovery.* Evaluate and establish best practices for protecting Lyte Fiber network assets, continually reviewing performance and effectiveness.Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time, with or without notice.## Qualifications**Minimum Qualifications:*** 4-6 yrs experience working on network deployment, customer service or similar roles.* Strong verbal and written communication skills* Extensive understanding of 811 laws and requirements for both construction of, and operating, assets in public right of way.* Working knowledge of ROW and Easement access as pertaining to utilities* Ability to communicate effectively with customers and municipal representatives.* Experience in managing costs and budgets* Knowledge and experience in working Excell, Word and Powerpoint.**Preferred Skills*** Budget/Cost management* Experience with FTTH deployment* Bachelor’s degree**Physical Demands and Work Environment*** Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer* Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times* Will require travel as needed up to 30%**About Lyte Fiber**Established in 2023 and headquartered in Houston, TX, Lyte Fiber, LLC (“Lyte”) is dedicated to bringing the fastest, most reliable home and business fiber optic internet to Texas and beyond.
