West Roseville Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our team in Roseville, CA. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with a dedicated group of professionals who are committed to providing comprehensive veterinary care for dogs and cats in the Roseville and surrounding communities.

Daily Responsibilities:

• Primarily responsible for daily appointment shedule and client education
• Assist with animal restraint during examinations and procedures
• Provide care for small animals, including obtaining vital signs and administering medications
• Educate clients on proper pet care and treatment plans
• Up to date on vaccine protocols and current prevention recommendations
• Assist with patient recovery and post-operative care
• Maintain cleanliness of kennels and hospital facilities
• Occassional kennel duties, including feeding, walking, and cleaning
• Assist with small animal medicine, fluid therapy, and digital radiography

Required Skills:

• Experience in animal handling and restraint
• Knowledge of small animal care and preventive care practices
• Strong client education skills
• Experience with patient recovery and fear-free techniques

Nice to Have Skills:

• Certification as a Veterinary Assistant or Technician
• Experience with digital radiography
• Knowledge of animal welfare and preventive care
• Experience laser therapy

Salary and Benefits:

• Minimum Salary: $18.00 per hour
• Maximum Salary: $22.00 per hour dependant on experience
