Member Specialist

What you'll do Provide member service, maintain the checkout area, resolve member issues and concerns, promote Sam's Club products and services, and provide guidance regarding self‑service technology. Process member purchases, assist with payments, returns, refunds, and exchanges per company policies. Follow safety standards and conduct safety sweeps. Follow proper procedures for handling merchandise, correct unsafe situations, and report them to facility management. Maintain entrance and exit areas, acknowledge members, verify membership cards, assist with purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, and zone the area. Assist members with transporting items, maintain a safe shopping environment, and safeguard company assets by observing potential criminal activity. Maintain paperwork, logs, and other required documentation, execute emergency response procedures, and ensure compliance with security and safety practices. Assist with training of Member Frontline Services associates, teach new technology and tool functionality, deliver new programs rollout training and continuous learning opportunities. Ensure area of responsibility is maintained according to company policies by properly handling returns, zoning, organizing merchandise, and identifying shrink and damage. Complete work assignments using policies, data, and resources; collaborate with managers, co‑workers, customers, and partners; determine priorities, deadlines, and expectations; communicate progress; recommend improvement opportunities; and adapt to change. Hourly wage range The hourly wage range for this position is $17.00 to $25.00*. Compensation Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met. Minimum Qualifications Retail experience including operating front‑end equipment (e.g., cash register). Experience working with mobile retail applications. Preferred Qualifications None listed.
