Animal Hospital of Maple Valley is seeking a compassionate, personable Associate Veterinarian to join our independently owned, non-corporate small- animal practice. We are a community- and family-centered hospital that believes exceptional veterinary medicine begins with treating clients, patients, and team members with genuine care and respect. We are looking for a veterinarian who is comfortable getting down on the floor to connect with a nervous dog, taking the time to earn a cat’s trust, and building lasting relationships with the families who depend on us. Associate Veterinarian (DVM) Why You’ll Love Working With Us Independently owned and non-corporate Supportive team of five veterinarians Approximately 30 dedicated team members, including five Licensed Veterinary Technicians Three-doctor daily workflow that promotes collaboration and shared responsibility Generous 30-minute appointments Flexible scheduling Strong connection to our local community Fast-paced, team-oriented environment Diverse caseload with opportunities to practice both medicine and surgery Our hospital is open from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Doctors begin at 8:30 a.m., with the final scheduled examination beginning at 4:30 p.m. Our Daily Doctor Structure We typically have three veterinarians working in the hospital each day: Two veterinarians see scheduled appointments One veterinarian performs surgical procedures and manages drop-off appointments and emergencies This structure allows our doctors to collaborate while giving each patient the time and attention they deserve. Our Services We provide comprehensive care for dogs and cats, including: Wellness and preventive care Comprehensive physical examinations Vaccinations Non-urgent medical care Emergency and urgent care Diagnostic testing Drop-off appointments A wide variety of surgical procedures What We’re Looking For Our ideal veterinarian is compassionate, approachable, confident, and committed to practicing high-quality medicine. You should enjoy working collaboratively and communicating openly with clients and colleagues. Successful candidates will have: A Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited veterinary school A current Washington State veterinary license or eligibility to obtain one Strong knowledge of veterinary anatomy, physiology, pharmacology, diagnostics, and medical care Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with pet owners The ability to work effectively with veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and client-service team members The ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment Knowledge of aseptic techniques and proper sanitation protocols Familiarity with veterinary terminology and diagnostic procedures A willingness to be hands-on and meet patients at their level A warm, personable approach with clients, patients, and coworkers Benefits We offer a competitive benefits package that includes: 401(k) retirement plan Employer 401(k) matching Medical insurance Dental insurance Vision insurance Paid time off Parental leave Flexible scheduling Employee discounts Professional development assistance Compensation Salary range: $90,000–$200,000 per year, based on experience, schedule, and qualifications.
