Registered Nurse - Surgical Unit - GYN & Urology - Midnights

4B is a 35-bed, fast-paced surgical unit where no two days are the same. Our team specializes in caring for patients recovering from urologic, gynecologic, abdominal, and general emergency surgeries. We care for patients at a pivotal point in their journey, often seeing them arrive feeling their worst and helping them regain strength, confidence, and independence before returning home.

The pace on 4B is dynamic, with frequent admissions, discharges, and patient progression. This high-volume environment offers caregivers the opportunity to develop strong assessment skills, sharpen clinical judgment, and build confidence in managing a wide variety of patient needs. Nurses on 4B regularly care for patients with surgical drains, NG tubes, tube feedings, TPN, IV medications, wound vacs, and other advanced therapies, providing a rich and rewarding learning experience.

Requirements:

BSN or commitment to obtaining within three years of date of hire.

License or license eligibility in the state of Delaware.

At least one year of med/surg experience strongly required.

BLS required.

Hours: This position is day/midnight rotation with a schedule of 7 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. This requires weekend and holiday commitments per hospital practice. This is for 72 hours per pay.

Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 - $66.05

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare's good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
