COVID Screener Certified Medical Assistant

Job Opportunity

Nightingale's List is partnering with local testing centers to provide safe, accurate and fast COVID-19 testing, for the Antelope Valley/Lancaster area. We are looking for experienced and friendly Medical Assistants to administer COVID tests. Due to recent changes made by LA City Council and approved by LA Mayor Garcetti candidates interested in this opportunity must be FULLY vaccinated. An active Medical Assistant Certification required to be considered for this opportunity. We need someone who is comfortable with people, friendly, and has a flexible schedule/location. This role requires reliable transportation as you will need to drive to different testing locations. Experience administering nasal swabs and early morning availability is preferred. Excellent opportunity for Full-time or Per diem supplemental income

Job Duties

• Performing PCR swab tests. Training will be provided to those with little or no experience.
• Greeting patients in a friendly manner, confirming their personal information, and answering their test related questions.
• Sorting patient paperwork as it is printed and matching labels with the appropriate forms.
• Noting and correcting any discrepancies in patient paperwork.
• Checking in Patient IDs into our Electronic Medical Records.
• Bagging and properly labeling samples.
• Handing off samples to the lab at the end of shift or when instructed to.
• Masks and scrubs are to be worn at all times. Full PPE- gown, shield and gloves must be worn when testing patients at drive thru, production sites

Requirements

• Job Type: Full-time with opportunity for overtime
• Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
