Design Project Manager

Technical Source is partnering with a growing design & engineering team seeking a Design Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, high-impact facilities in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and life sciences space. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you’ll guide multidisciplinary teams, collaborate directly with clients, and shape facilities that support cutting‑edge research and manufacturing. What You’ll Be Doing: Lead projects from early concept and programming through construction documentation, ensuring every phase aligns with client goals, regulatory expectations, and technical excellence. Act as the primary design liaison, translating complex technical needs into actionable plans while building strong, long‑term client relationships. Coordinate architects, engineers, consultants, and specialty partners to deliver fully integrated solutions on time and within budget. Define project scope, develop and manage design budgets, and keep deliverables on track without sacrificing quality. Ensure facilities meet GMP, FDA, and EU Annex 1 standards, with deep attention to cleanroom environments and regulated manufacturing needs. Leverage modern tools and strategies such as CFD modeling, modular construction, BIM workflows, and energy‑efficient systems to deliver smarter facilities. Identify design challenges early and implement proactive mitigation strategies that protect timelines and budgets. What We’re Looking For: 7+ years of experience managing design projects, ideally in pharma, biotech, or regulated facility environments Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline Strong knowledge of GMP regulations, cleanroom design, and compliance frameworks Proven success leading multidisciplinary technical teams Comfortable juggling multiple projects without losing attention to detail Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, BIM tools, and PM software platforms Excellent communication skills, able to translate technical complexity into clear direction Work Environment: This is an on‑site role in Jacksonville, FL , ideal for professionals who thrive in collaborative, in‑office project environments and want daily interaction with their teams and stakeholders. #J-18808-Ljbffr Technical Source
