JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: H-MD-129341 Profession: Physician Specialty: Emergency Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Johnson City, Tennessee Coverage Period: Aug 01, 2026 - Ongoing Shift Schedule: 24-hour shifts Reason for Coverage: Coverage Travel, Lodging, and Malpractice Insurance: Covered CALL COVERAGE Call Required: No PATIENT INFORMATION Average Daily Volume: 66 patients per day FACILITY INFORMATION No. of Beds in Department: 80 hospital beds EMR System: Epic Support Staff Available: APPs (NPs and PAs) PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes JOB REQUIREMENTS Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM, ABFM, ABIM) Licenses: Active TN Medical License, Active DEA with TN address, Schedules 2,2N,3,3N,4,5 DEA / CDS: Active DEA with TN address and CDS Certifications: ACLS, ATLS, PALS (if not BC in EM), NRP (if non-ABEM) Experience: Residency trained in Emergency Medicine or primary care Other Qualifications: Case logs for last two years, CME in Preeclampsia-Eclampsia, Immunizations (MMR/Varicella, TB test) DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients in the ED. Serve as supervising physician for NPs and PAs. Perform emergency procedures as required. Document patient care accurately in Epic EMR. Collaborate with specialists and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
