Quality Systems Specialist, First Article Emphasis

Salary: $103,000 - 143,000 per year Requirements:

• We manage and perform First Article Inspections in accordance with internal, AS9102, and/or customer standards.
• We work with Operations and Production Control to prioritize FAI workload based on critical need.
• We review engineering drawings, specifications, and models to identify design characteristics for ballooned drawings that support First Article Inspection.
• We use Foresight First Article Tools, including Discus software, to balloon drawings and create and maintain quality First Article files, records, and documents.
• We use customer portals to input, manage, review, download, and submit First Article packages and related information.
• We coordinate with onsite customer representatives and others to obtain approvals and resolve issues related to FAI or associated processes.
• We perform general inspection-related duties as part of the Quality Systems Specialist role.
• We interpret and verify materials and products against Foresight, customer, and regulatory requirements.
• We conduct in-process and final inspections of aerospace and non-aerospace components and assemblies.
• We interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, specifications, and work instructions.
• We use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
• We document inspection results and maintain accurate quality records.
• We identify nonconforming materials and initiate NCR documentation.
• We support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action activities.
• We review and accept or reject material certifications and traceability documentation, including helping manage missing or replacement documentation when needed.
• We ensure proper handling and storage of raw material and manufactured parts.
• We participate in internal and external audits as needed.
• We inspect and determine the acceptability of supplier- or customer-supplied materials.
• We assist with MRB activities.
• We support the Quality Manager and Quality Engineer as needed.
• We create and manage metrics associated with FAI or as directed.
• We support the input and management of statistical information as needed.
• We support the RMA process as needed.
• We support the calibration process as needed.

We are Foresight Technologies, and this role centers on First Article completion, submission, and maintenance within our Quality Systems team. The position also supports a broad range of quality system activities, with opportunities to expand into other primary quality system responsibilities over time.
