Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: NM License (can be pending at time of submission) Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - IV starts - Telemetry management - Ability to float within scope to meet facility needs Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in Medical-Surgical/Telemetry. The position requires floating to Medical-Surgical, Progressive Care Unit, and lower acuity settings within the skill set. The nurse will manage a patient ratio of 1:5, with the possibility of 1:6 based on acuity and available resources. Weekend shifts will be required; the expectation is 2 on a 4-week schedule. Relief charge may be required; the candidate must be willing to work in this capacity as needed. Travelers are required to have experience in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias. A significant portion of the nursing will involve primary care with limited ancillary support. The facility operates above 100% capacity. The patient population includes adults and geriatrics, with diagnoses such as heart failure, COPD, sepsis, and trauma. The position expects an understanding of various telemetry systems and the ability to start and maintain IVs. Special procedures and floating responsibilities will form an integral part of this role. This position does not require COVID-19 vaccination; however, flu vaccination is mandatory with exemptions available.
