Description:
Cath Lab Technologists support physicians during cardiac procedures.
They are required to know and apply sterile technique while scrubbing in.
The role involves assisting with diagnostic left and right heart catheterizations, PCI, IABP, and temporary pacemaker placements.
Technologists must work collaboratively with RNs, who handle circulation, sedation, and documentation during procedures.
The unit operates two suites and averages about ten cases per day.
Technologists will be scheduled for four ten-hour shifts each week.
Weekend and holiday coverage is required, including rotating on-call responsibilities.
On-call time can extend for up to seven days in a four-week schedule.
Call response time is expected to be within 30 minutes.
General hospital orientation and computer training will be provided upon starting.
Surgical attire is provided for the role.
Floating to other units is possible, given the necessary experience.
The position requires solid prior experience as a Cath Lab or Rad Tech.
First-time travelers with good experience are welcome to apply.
The department utilizes Siemens software and equipment for cases.
Candidates must not have any license hits during review.
