Pediatric Registered Nurse - Inpatient Hematology/Oncology

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with a shift from 7 PM to 7:30 AM.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse to join our inpatient unit specializing in Hematology/Oncology. The ideal candidate will have significant pediatric inpatient experience and a comfort level with high acuity patients, including those requiring high flow nasal cannula, tracheostomy care, and feeding tubes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care to pediatric patients in an inpatient setting.
• Administer medications and treatments as per established protocols.
• Monitor patient condition and make necessary adjustments to care plans.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using EPIC electronic medical records system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of pediatric inpatient nursing experience is required.
• Pediatric Hematology/Oncology experience preferred.
• Current BLS and PALS certifications are required.
• EPIC experience is mandatory.
• Current state RN license or pending state license consideration may be evaluated.
