Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring 2+ years of ICU experience and prior travel nursing experience.

Details

• Work in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) of a community hospital
• Night shift schedule with 3x12 or 4x12 hour options (19:00-7:00)
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• Must be willing to float to all three campuses (Ontario, Bucyrus, and Galion) as needed
• On-call requirements apply, with expectation to arrive at the hospital within 1 hour when called in
• Epic charting system experience preferred

Requirements

• Active OH or compact RN license required (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent, continuous ICU experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Cardiac experience preferred, including post cath intervention, balloon pump, and Impella management
• Skilled in cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia management and interpretation, arterial and central line management, and titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips
• Experience with ventilated patient care, BiPAP/CPAP management, and suctioning (ETT, NT)
• Proficient in isolation precautions and PPE use
• Two recent supervisory references required for consideration

Additional Information

• Provide critical care nursing to cardiovascular patients including CVP monitoring, IABP, Impella, and pre/post cardiac catheterization care
• Perform sheath removal as part of patient care duties
• Smoke-free facility and campus
• No holiday or holiday week time-off requests will be approved
