Supervisor, Production 3rd shift

Position Title: Supervisor, Production (3rd shift) Job Family: Operations Company: Paligen Aerospace and Defense, LLC Location :Garland, TX. (On – site) Job Summary: The 3rd Shift Manufacturing Supervisor oversees nightly production operations within the facility to ensure safe, efficient, and cost‑effective manufacturing performance. This role is responsible for leading a team of machine operators and production employees, coordinating workflows, resolving issues, and promoting consistent achievement of quality and production goals. The Supervisor ensures equipment is properly set up, raw materials are prepared to specifications, and all work is performed in alignment with established procedures and manufacturing standards. Key Responsibilities: Supervise all machining and production activities during 3rd shift, ensuring output meets or exceeds safety, quality, and productivity targets. Lead a team of machine operators, assemblers, and quality personnel; provide coaching, performance feedback, and daily direction. Verify correct raw materials, tooling, and components are selected and measured to specifications for production processing. Monitor production schedules and coordinate workflow to meet deadlines, ensuring adequate staffing levels and proper material flow throughout the shift. Identify and resolve operational issues related to machining processes, equipment, and production flow. Escalate complex issues when necessary. Maintain accurate shift documentation, including production data, quality metrics, downtime, and team performance. Support performance evaluations, coaching conversations, and disciplinary actions in partnership. Ensure compliance with all safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements. Promote a safe and clean work environment. Communicate equipment needs and notify maintenance or engineering teams when repairs, troubleshooting, or preventive maintenance are required. Qualifications: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in machining or CNC operations. Previous supervisory or lead experience required. Strong working knowledge of machining processes, equipment setup, and troubleshooting. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage workflow, and optimize production in a fast‑paced environment. Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently during 3rd shift and handle multiple priorities.
