Kitchen Supervisor (Nights) – Phillips Ave Diner

The Kitchen Supervisor (Nights) oversees all back-of-house operations during evening shifts, ensuring food is prepared safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. This role supervises and supports kitchen staff, coordinates workflow, maintains cleanliness and food safety compliance, manages inventory, and supports timely, accurate service. The Kitchen Supervisor also trains team members, addresses operational issues, and promotes a productive, team-oriented work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure all menu items are prepared according to company recipes and quality standards.

• Maintain compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.

• Support and coach kitchen employees to improve performance and efficiency.

• Manage inventory, stock rotation, and report shortages or equipment issues.

• Assist with shift coverage and opening/closing kitchen procedures.

• Resolve employee or operational issues professionally and efficiently.

• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role.

• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

• Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure.

• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
