Travel NICU Registered Nurse - $2,493 per week

Overview American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Level II for a travel nursing job in Des Moines, Iowa. Assignment Overview Shift: Days, 3x12hrs Hours: 36 hrs/wk Start Date: Apr 27, 2026 Length: 13 weeks Openings: 1 Details 42-bed Level II NICU within a pediatric hospital environment Patient population includes premature infants and neonates with respiratory distress/failure, hypoglycemia, and related conditions Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2 or 1:3 Vasopressors, sedation, and glucose management are performed on the unit Floating may be required to general pediatrics and PICU Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active IA single-state or compact/multistate RN license required Current BLS (AHA) and NRP certifications required Minimum 24 months of NICU/Neonatal Intensive Care experience required Demonstrated experience and comfort with vasopressors, sedation, and glucose administration required Must have completed at least one prior travel contract within the past 18 months Driver's license required for consideration Supervisory performance evaluation or professional reference from within the past 2 years preferred Additional Information First-time travelers will not be considered for this position Travelers are required to work 2 of the following 3 holidays: Christmas, New Year\'s, or Thanksgiving RTO is limited to 1 day during the Thanksgiving week and winter holiday periods American Traveler Job ID #P-689241.
