WMS Systems Specialist & Superuser

POSITION SUMMARY

The WMS Super User is responsible for the efficient transmission, storage, and analysis of information using computer networks, the Internet, and computer databases. The role involves installing, maintaining, and supporting the organization’s computer systems, providing general maintenance, system updates, and troubleshooting to ensure network availability for users. The Super User may also be required to be on call outside normal business hours to resolve system failures or other problems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Acts as the primary support for the client’s systems solutions for the user community. Develops and maintains tracking tools for support service requests and resolutions by location and resource. Engages expert resources when complex support issues arise, both within and outside the WMS‑Red Prairie and SAP applications. Works with teams to close support service request issues and conduct testing activities. Collaborates on the implementation, maintenance, and improvement of internal systems. Communicates IT‑related information to site and client management as appropriate. Maintains system efficiency by ensuring all components work together properly. Tests and coordinates system modifications; troubleshoots problems when they occur. Produces regular reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis. Ensures all RF Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are current and trains associates on updated SOPs, Microsoft Office, WMS programs, and RF guns. Responds to inquiries about WMS‑Red Prairie and related computer issues and refers questions to the appropriate person. Provides professional written and verbal communication with internal and external customers. Supports research projects and special projects as needed. Oversees manpower, recruitment, retention, and development for the operation within scope of responsibility. Develops and maintains procedures to guarantee client service, productivity, and equipment maintenance. Sets goals to provide continuous improvement for the assigned site. Performs other duties as required.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Computer Skills Mid to Senior Microsoft Office skills Technical knowledge of technologies relevant to assigned applications, business unit or region Experience with administration and maintenance of infrastructure, software, and systems Experience with Red Prairie, RF/RDTs, UNIX, proprietary WMS Wi‑Fi and RF systems and equipment experience Language Skills English (reading, writing, verbal) Interpersonal communication skills: listening, speaking, reading, writing Facilitation skills and mature communication abilities at all organizational levels Basic to intermediate language proficiency Business & financial acumen (analyzing financial information, problem solving, sound judgment) Analytical skills (data storage, management, mining, procedure following) Education & Experience Either a four‑year degree in a computer‑related field or a two‑year degree with relevant experience (basic requirement) Minimum of two years of job‑related experience; 3–5 years preferred Experience dealing with end users, vendors, and clients End‑to‑end understanding of business intelligence and its components Mathematical Skills Good mathematical skills Other Skills Adaptability, flexibility, conflict resolution, and continuous improvement mindset Customer service focus Integrity and sensitivity to others Teamwork and relationship management Results‑driven with initiative, ownership, and project management skills Change management skills (learning agility, adaptability) Work in unregulated warehouse temperatures (mild to moderate)

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Compensation For this position, the expected base pay range is $75,000.00 – Annual. Actual compensation will be determined based on job‑related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
